behind mojo psychology

Stephan Neuwerk, Clinical Psychologist

I am a clinical psychologist with close to two decades of experience working with complex emotional, relational, and health-related situations.

A significant part of my work has taken place in hospital settings, including at the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf and its associated heart centre. There, I worked with adults and children in high-intensity medical contexts, including patients awaiting organ transplantation or living with artificial heart systems.

In paediatric cardiology, I worked closely with parents of seriously ill infants and young children. This often involved crisis intervention, grief, and prolonged periods of uncertainty, as well as supporting families under significant emotional and relational strain.

Alongside this, I have worked with individuals in high-responsibility roles experiencing burnout, particularly in demanding medical and professional environments.

My work across Germany, New Zealand, and Australia has shaped a structured approach grounded in clinical psychology, with a focus on understanding patterns, reducing complexity, and creating clarity in situations that are difficult to navigate.

The work is adapted to the individual or couple and may include approaches such as EMDR, cognitive behavioural therapy, systemic work, and clinical hypnosis where appropriate.

The aim is to provide a focused and contained space to work through complex situations in a practical and meaningful way.
